#018, INDIA IS FULL OF LAZY ROGUES

Swami Vivekananda wrote to Swami Suddhananda from Almora on July 11, 1897: "... India is full of lazy rogues , and curious, they never die of hunger, they always get something..." BLOGGER'S VIEWs *Includes him or does n't include him?

#17, These are countries of gigantic scholars. Is it a joke to make disciples of such people?

Swamiji wrote to Brahmananda (Rakhal) from Reading, England, in 1895. "...These are countries of gigantic scholars. Is it a joke to make disciples of such people? You are but children and talk like children. ...". BLOGGER'S VIEWs *Gigantic scholars? *Is it a joke to make disciples? *You are children! *What a great boaster, was Swamiji!

#16, A HUNDRED YEARS IS NOTHING TO HIM

Swamiji wrote in his book Raja Yoga, Chapter II, First Steps: "...The result of this branch of Yoga is to make men live long; health is the chief idea, the one goal of the Hatha-Yogi. He is determined not to fall sick , and he never does. He lives long; a hundred years is nothing to him..." BLOGGER'S VIEW Swamiji visited US the second time in 1899 to receive medical treatment for a number of diseases such as diabetes, heart problem, dyspepsia, neuresthenia, red spots on chest etc. Swamiji wrote to Mr. E.T. Sturdy on Sept. 14, 1899: "...Mrs. Johnson is of opinion that no spiritual person ought to be ill..." BLOGGER'S VIEW Mrs. Johnson seems to have blindly believed what Swamiji wrote in his book 'Raja Yoga'. LIST OF DISEASES SUFFERED BY VIVEKANANDA BETWEEN 1890 AND DEATH (1902): High fever, Vomiting, purging as in Cholera from Baranagore to his Guru's birth place. -- 22nd Feb. 1889, as per letter written to Shri Pramadadas Mishra. #015 , YOGI CANNOT BE AN ADDICT, tobacco

On May 4, 1895, Swamiji wrote to Mr. Francis Leggett, a shipping magnet. "Many thanks for your kind present. The cigars are indeed delicious and a hundred times so as coming from you." BLOGGER'S VIEW If Advaita Yogis become slaves of tobacco, what will happen for ordinary householders? Vivekananda wrote to Mrs. Hale from Detroit on Feb. 20, 1894. "...It is rather wearisome, these constant receptions and dinners; and their horrible dinners — a hundred dinners concentrated into one — and when in a man's club, why, smoking on between the courses and then beginning afresh. ... " Let us see what Swamiji said in his book Raja Yoga, Chapter II: The First Steps:- "Râja-Yoga is divided into eight steps. The first is Yama — non-killing, truthfulness, non-stealing, continence, and non-receiving of any gifts." BLOGGER'S VIEW 1. Receiving gifts, is a pastime of Hindu monks. 2. Do swamijis kill turtles, shad fish and invite foreigners to taste them?
