#30, I am mostly the guest of big people

Swami Vivekananda wrote from New York to his brother disciples at Alam Bazar Monastery in 1894, from U.S.A.

"..I seldom live in hotels, but am mostly the guest of big people here. To them I am a widely known man. The whole country knows me now; so wherever I go they receive me with open arms into their homes ..."

*Only big people need Swamijis.

One aspect which came out from a TV interview given by a high functionary of the Freemason's Club, 3 or 4 years ago, was that Vivekananda was a Freemason and it was this which helped him much in getting all that name and fame in America as also elsewhere.

Naturally, the Freemasons -who are mostly from the upper crust of the society - would have given him food and shelter in their well-to-do homes.
