#191 That is beastly! Not manly! Not monkly!

(Swami Vivekananda spoke to his disciple Sharat Chandra Chakravarty. Place: Belur Math. Period: 1897 or 1901-02. Source: Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda.)

"...Why then do you cherish the idea that the wife and children are your own, more than others? At your very threshold, Nârâyana Himself in the form of a poor beggar is dying of starvation! Instead of giving him anything, would you only satisfy the appetites of your wife and children with delicacies? Why, that is beastly! ..."

BLOGGER'S VIEWS
*Feeding wife and children is beastly. Foreign women should be invited to share shad fish and turtles.
*Sending money to foreign women is manly! (Swamiji Sent $480 to Ms. Christina Greenstidel inviting her to come to India or spend as she likes!)
*Asking Swami Brahmananda to offer only Tulasi leaves to worship in the Belur Math! -- This is monkly.
*Craving for cigars, ice creams, luchis, mutton, shad fish, turtles!
