Chief Ministers on a spending spree in the name of 150th birthday of Vivekananda

1. Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister of Gujarat, will not lag behind, in spending in the name of the 150th Birth Anniversary. He will not, of course, bother to verify the truths about Vivekananda or read his Complete Works.

2. How can, Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, lag behind? She has inaugurated a bronze statue of Swami Vivekananda at Dakshineswar. She is organising and leading a rally to his birth place. She is also going to organise a World Conference, spending millions. Paschim Banga people will pay.

3. N. Kirankumar Reddy will not hesitate to spend millions on the Youth Day and 150th Birth Day Celebrations as long as the word 'KIRANALU' is used everywhere.

4. Sadananda Gowda, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, has kicked off, at Mangalore, a Youth Festival. Veerappa Moily and Ajay Maken will be present.

5. Arjun Munda, BJP Chief Minister of Jhar Khand, how can he sleep, when the entire Nation is gaga! He is organising a big bash.

6. Shivraj Chauhan, BJP Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh is not resting. He is organising Vivekananda Jayanti on a massive scale.
He is mobilising 5 million students.

Congress Chief Ministers seem to be somewhat slack in this respect of celebration. They will not move forward unless there are some dalit votes or Muslim votes at stake. I believe that Mrs. Sonia Gandhi will not hold the C.M.s back. Only thing is, somebody has to measure the election value of the celebrations, for Congress and convince them. Everything Governmental, in this country revolves around politics. Anyway, let us wait and see.
