Your article is wrong on so many levels there is no point argueing with you. I just want to tell one thing.... one does not need to drink/ eat beef/ smoke to have fun. A lot of us Indians do not do either of these three and I can assure we are a hell lot happier than you are. Thank you. May 28, 2016 at 9:40 PM REPLY FROM YBRAO-A-DONKEY My dear friend: Pl. do not misunderstand me. Whatever we are arguing about is, to find out truth. I shall take it as my sacred duty to answer all your questions. Kindly do not think that there is no point in arguing with me. I invite more and more specific questions, which I shall try to answer with proof. Indians have every right to love their religions and cultures. At the same time, it may be not be reasonable to deify people by giving them credit disproportionate to their work. There is also NO NEED to spread Hinduism abroad and convert people living there (Some people take pride in the actions of Vivekananda doing it). We never needed / need / will need no ambassadors abroad for spreading Indian Culture and Indian Life Styles in foreign lands. The lifestyles of migrants from India, serve as examples for foreigners to know what India means. Hence our NRIs and PIOs are to be more cautious when they imitate foreigners blindly. Progressive changes are always welcome. It is more important for democratically elected Indian Government to defend Indian Culture from foreign religious attacks with foreign funds, and Capitalist Life Styles. Anonymous Anonymous said... 275 Next thing, I would do, would be to go back to Bangalore and then to Ootacamund to pass the summer there. My brain boils in heat

Swamiji claimed that Kali was not allowing him to look after his own personal comforts. If this incident had really happened, why should Swamiji crave to go to Ooty? Swamiji wrote to Alasinga from Hyderabad, on Feb. 11, 1893: "...Your friend, the young graduate, came to receive me at the station, so also a Bengali gentleman. At present I am living with the Bengali gentleman; tomorrow I go to live with your young friend for a few days, and then I see the different sights here, and in a few days you may expect me at Madras. For I am very sorry to tell you that I cannot go back at present to Rajputana. It is so very dreadfully hot here already. I do not know how hot it would be at Rajputana, and I cannot bear heat at all. So the next thing, I would do, would be to go back to Bangalore and then to Ootacamund to pass the summer there. My brain boils in heat. ..." "... So all my plans have been dashed to the ground. That is why I wanted to hurry off from Madras earl...

119 MR. NANJUNDA RAO CANNOT EXPECT FOREIGN HELP, BUT VIVEKANANDA CAN

Image
Swami Vivekananda while collecting funds in the name of his Guru Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, was very active, but while distributing them to his brother-disciples and those who supported him earlier for his visit to Chicago, he was (in ybrao-a-donkey's personal view), very reluctant and stingy. Shri M.C. Nanjunda Rao, was one such person, who was at the receiving end of free advice of Swami Vivekananda. from England to Shri Nanjuna Rao on July 14, 1896. FREE ADVICE TO SHRI NANJUNDA RAO "... But you must not depend on any foreign help. Nations, like individuals, must help themselves. This is real patriotism. If a nation cannot do that, its time has not yet come. It must wait. ..." HOW VIVEKANANDA PRACTISED HIS ADVICE? Swamiji wrote to Ms. Ole Bull from San Francisco, on March 7, 1900:- "...The thousand dollars I have in New York will bring Rs. 9 a month; then I bought for her a bit of land which will bring about Rs. 6; and her old house--that will bring,...

120 UNVERIFIABLE CLAIMS OF INCIDENTS IN THE LIFE OF SWAMI VIVEKANANDA

Following is a list of unverifiable claims of incidents in the life of Swami Vivekananda. These claims are made by his biographers without sufficient tangible evidence. For accepting these claims, Indian Council of Historic Research, New Delhi or any other Government body connected with history have to collect the evidence and verify them. The biographers cannot be depended upon because most of them are disciples/devotees of Vivekananda. Normally devotees and admirers have a tendency to concentrate on only incidents which deify their hero. 1. Vivekananda swimming the Sea between the shore and the Vivekananda Rock at Kanyakumari . There is no mention of his swimming the Sea and sitting on the Vivekananda rock in his Complete Works. He has not written to anybody. Considering that the sea is shark-filled and the distance involved, we have to presume that he used a boat, may be of fishermen or the ruler of Travancore/Ramnad. It is not reasonable to say that he did not have mone...

127 HAD I ANY HAND IN IT? (VEDANATA SOCIETY) उस में मेरा हाथ था क्या ? क्या वेदांत सोसैटी को मै शुरू किया ?

When we study the letters of Swami Vivekananda very carefully, we cannot resist from getting an impression that he did not treat his brother-disciples as his equals. The common impression is that Swami Vivekananda started the Vedanta Society of New York. He himself denied it. Swamiji wrote to Ms. Josephine MacLeod from Alameda, California on April 20, 1900: "...You and Mrs. Leggett wanted me to write him to be free and independent and that Mr. Leggett was not going to help them. I wrote it — now what can I do? If John or Jack does not obey you, am I to be hanged for it? What do I know about this Vedanta Society? Did I start it? Had I any hand in it? Then again, nobody condescends to write me anything about what the affair is! Well, this world is a great fun. ..." BLOGGER'S VIEW The word 'him' above refers to Swami Abhedananda. Who is the John or Jack? It is Abhedananda. Who started the Vedanta Society of New York? To continue, with more evidence and ...

279 Part 1: Vivekananda did not realise that India is being ruled at root and middle levels by Upper Sudras for the last 2000 years.
